We’re delighted to have this opportunity to introduce ourselves to you. Moreover, we’d love for you to be a regular part of what God is doing here in this congregation of believers. To help you get to know us better, these web pages should serve as an orientation to our church with the desire that you be drawn into our fellowship. Let us quickly tell you a little about us.
At South Creek, Christ Himself is the very life of this church. Everything in this body of believers revolves around Him. This church is His church. Christ is recognized as Lord here. He is the Alpha and Omega of our lives. He is our Savior, our Redeemer, our everything. We’re a group of people who have repented of sin, believed upon Christ, love Christ, follow Christ, obey Christ, and serve Christ. This describes who we are—we’re all about the God-man, Jesus Christ!
South Creek is also a place of caring relationships. The word “fellowship” means “a sharing in common” and describes our common life together in Christ. As a church family, we hold in common our Lord Jesus Christ. His spiritual life pulsates through our body. His truth and love knits our hearts together. Despite our many differences of family background, ethnicity, education, business, and social standing, we are one in Christ.
Our theological and historical distinctives would be defined as Baptist and Calvinistic. We are Reformed by conviction, a people who stand in a great line of biblical individuals who have gone before us. This godly line can be traced back to the English Reformation of the 16th century. As with our forefathers, we believe in the full inspiration, inerrancy, sufficiency and authority of Scripture; salvation by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone; the baptism of believers only by immersion; the priesthood of believers; the eternal security of the redeemed; and much more. These God-exalting truths, which we regularly preach and teach expositionally from God’s Word, mark our identity.
South Creek Church is a group of believers who have been redeemed by Christ, who support one another in loving fellowship, who hold to historic Reformed doctrines, and who are called out of the world to be the church of God.
